Disciplinary Committee decisions

The Disciplinary Committee met from Monday 12 to Friday 16 May 2008 and made the following directions:

1. The Committee refused an application for restoration on behalf of Bharatkumar Ramanbhai Patel (previous registration number 74635).

2. Following a Statutory Committee inquiry into Mohammad Amir Yasin (registration number 1072446), the committee directed the removal of Mr Yasin’s name from the Register of Pharmaceutical Chemists. Under Section 11 of the Pharmacy Act 1954, the direction to remove Mr Yasin’s name from the Register is not to take effect until the expiration of a period of three months from the date on which notice of removal was given or in a case where an appeal has been brought against the direction, until the appeal is determined or withdrawn.

3. Following a Statutory Committee inquiry into Jawid Ahmed Yusuf (registration number 84208), the committee directed the removal of Mr Yusuf’s name from the Register. Under Section 11 of the Pharmacy Act 1954, the direction to remove Mr Yusuf’s name from the Register is not to take effect until the expiration of a period of three months from the date on which notice of removal was given or in a case where an appeal has been brought against the direction, until the appeal is determined or withdrawn.

4. Following a Statutory Committee inquiry into Kantilal Khushalbhai Mistry (registration number 74015), the committee directed the removal of Mr Mistry’s name from the Register of Pharmaceutical Chemists. Under Section 11 of the Pharmacy Act 1954, the direction to remove Mr Mistry’s name from the Register is not to take effect until the expiration of a period of three months from the date on which notice of removal was given or in a case where an appeal has been brought against the direction, until the appeal is determined or withdrawn.
