PRODUCT ALERT: Heat patches
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency is aware of
several incidents of burns caused by heat patches or packs designed to
relieve muscular, back or menstrual pain. It says that manufacturers’ instructions
for use should be followed and that patches/packs should be removed immediately
if they begin to feel uncomfortably warm. Any adverse incidents involving
the products should be reported.
