DRUG RECALL: Hycamtin (topotecan) 1mg vials (21

GlaxoSmithKline is recalling four batches of Hycamtin (topotecan) 1mg
vials due to the presence of two solvent impurities from the vial stoppers.

This product is supplied via specialist hospital clinics and the recall
information is not being supplied to GPs or community pharmacists.
Distribution in the UK is handled by Merck Pharmaceuticals, which is
co-ordinating the recall and medical information enquiries on behalf
of GlaxoSmithKline. Recipients are asked to quarantine any remaining
stock and return it to their supplier for credit.
