DRUG RECALL: Ephedrine hydrochloride pre-filled syringe 3mg/ml (6 January 2006)

Aurum Pharmaceuticals Ltd is recalling one batch of ephedrine hydrochloride pre-filled syringes 3mg/ml due to the discovery of an ephedrine hydrochloride syringe in a plastic box erroneously identifies as atropine sulphate injection BP 3mg in 10ml, screen printed on the centre of the longest panel.

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency Defective Medicines Report Centre says that the tamper-evident seal on the end of the plastic box is correct and refers to ephedrine hydrochloride and that the syringe inside is correctly labelled as ephedrine hydrochloride.
