DRUG RECALL: Gopten (trandolapril) 1mg capsules (12 January 2006)

Abbott Laboratories Ltd is recalling six batches of Gopten (trandolapril) 1mg capsules because the cartons contains patient information leaflets intended for the Eire market and which have multiple differences from those intended for the UK market. Every carton of the batches is affected. The same carton is used for both markets and bears the marketing authorisation number PL 00037/0357 and PA38/84/2. The problem is believed to have arisen through the importation into the UK by wholesalers of stock intended for the Republic of Ireland.
