RECALL: Lipitor (19 July)

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency is recalling all stocks of a single batch of Lipitor 20mg tablets (atorvastatin, Pfizer) because of the discovery for a second time of counterfeit product with the same batch number as the genuine Pfizer product in the legitimate supply chain. The affected batch number is the same as that recalled in July 2005 (PJ, 6 August 2005, p161).
