RECALL: OneTouch Ultra2 blood glucose meters (11 September 2006)

LifeScan is recalling its OneTouch Ultra2 blood glucose meters that display results in mmol/L because users can overlook a displayed decimal point. This would lead them to believe that the indicated result is 10 times higher than it is.

Users of these meters in the UK can contact LifeScan on 0800 028 8039 to ask for replacement meters.

In the meantime, they should be advised to take care to read the decimal point.
