PRODUCT ALERT: Counterfeit blood glucose testing strips (15 November 2006)

LifeScan has reported counterfeit LifeScan OneTouch Ultra and OneTouch Basic/Profile blood glucose test strips being found in America, India, Dubai, and Greece. The US Food and Drug Administration has issued an alert

No evidence has been found to date to suggest that the counterfeit products have found their way to the UK market but wholesalers, pharmacists and users should be aware of the characteristics of the counterfeit product and packaging in the table below.
