RECALL: Plavix (4 June)Further to the recall of clopidogrel tablets (PJ, 2 June, p641) the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency and the European Medicines Agency, together with Waymade Plc, are recalling 20 batches of parallel distributed Plavix 75mg film-coated tablets (clopidogrel) because of the discovery of counterfeit product in the legitimate supply chain.
Cartons being recalled have the above batch numbers on one end-flap
and the text “Parallel distributed and repackaged by Waymade plc
Miles Gray Road Basildon Essex SS14 3FR” adjacent to the carton
bar code. Waymade Plc has added a suffix to the batch number to differentiate
different packing runs. |
