Pharmacy advice

The older you are, the more likely you are to seek advice when buying OTC medicines.

According to a survey by Retail Eyes, 63 per cent of people over 61 years of age sought advice compared with 59 per cent of 46–60 year-olds, 61 per cent of 31–45-year-olds and 52 per cent of 16–30-year-olds. Of those who ask for help, 95 per cent have confidence in the advice received and purchase the product.

Women (61 per cent) are more likely to ask for advice than men (49 per cent).
