Smoking cessation

Pharmacy Health Link has launched new guidance aimed at helping pharmacists and pharmacy staff provide high quality NHS smoking cessation services.

“Towards a smokefree England — brief interventions for stopping smoking by pharmacists and their staff” (PDF 1.5MB) advises staff on what to explain to customers and the need for follow-up and ongoing support.

The guidance was produced jointly with the Department of Health.
