Holiday timeHealth care workers take more time away each year than staff in any other sector, with 55 per cent taking more than 25 days holiday per year, according to an online survey of nearly 2,500 people. The survey showed that owners and directors of smaller businesses take far less holiday than senior staff in larger organisations. A total of 39 per cent of owners of businesses with up to 10 employees reported taking 15 days holiday or less per year. 40 per cent of small business owners said they feel the need to keep in touch with work while away, compared with 8 per cent of health care professionals. The survey was commissioned by BT. |
