Astellas
The offices of Astellas Pharma will be closed from 5pm on 21 December until 9am on 2 January 2008.

AstraZeneca
The offices of AstraZeneca UK will be closed from 4pm on 24 December until 8am on 2 January 2008.

From 9am to 4pm on 27, 28 and 31 December, medical information will be available on 01582 836836 and customer services will be available on 01582 837837.

In addition, a medicines information adviser is available 24 hours a day on 07785 577240.

CPP
The College of Pharmacy Practice will close on Friday 21 December and reopen on Tuesday 2 January 2008.

Gilead Sciences
The offices of Gilead Sciences will be closed from 12.30pm on 24 December until 2 January 2008.

An out-of-hours medicines information services will be available on 01223 897555.

Urgent requests for stock of AmBisome (amphotericin) should be directed to 01223 897400.

MHRA
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency central enquiry point closed at 4pm on 21 December and will reopen on 27 December.

It will be open 10am–4pm on 27 and 28 December, 10am–2pm on 31 December and from 9am on 2 January 2008.

Novartis
Novartis’s switchboard will be closed from 5.30pm on 24 December until the morning of 2 January 2008 when normal office hours will resume.

Customer services will close at 4pm on 24 December and will be available 10am–3pm on 27, 28 and 31 December.

Shire
Shire Pharmaceuticals customer services will be closed from 5pm on 21 December to 9am on 2 January 2008.

Medical information will be closed over the same period with the exception of 27 and 28 December, 9am–5pm; urgent enquiries can be made out of hours on 0800 0556614

Solvay
Solvay Healthcare medical information will be closed from 4pm on 21 December until 9am on 2 January 2008; urgent enquiries can be made to 023 8046 7000 over this period.

Customer services will be open on 27, 28 and 31 December (tel 01234 248572).

Orders should be placed by noon on 21 December for delivery before 25 December, by noon on 27 December for delivery before 1 January 2008, and by noon on 31 December for delivery on 2 January 2008.
